- Demonstrate competency in the performance of the designated clinical skills evaluated
- Describe how to reduce or minimize infection risk to patients
- Explain how to confirm sterility of items
- Identify properly stored sterile supplies and compromised sterile supplies
- Inspire other associates to become infection prevention champions
- Recognize and perform basic infection prevention practices to prevent HAIs (healthcare associated infections)
