Objectives
- Implement strategies to improve communications between interdisciplinary perinatal team members which may improve perinatal event outcomes
- Improve consistent utilization of and apply SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) as an effective situational briefing model, to enhance effective communication
- Incorporate assertion/critical language in everyday practice, so providers can speak up reliably when they perceive risk to a patient to ensure timely escalation of care
- Incorporate/reinforce the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) algorithm for newborn resuscitation into everyday practice
