The course will dive into the essentials of wheelchairs and seating systems. Participants will uncover the principles of mobility, explore the intricacies of wheelchair design, and learn about postural asymmetries for seating solutions. Attendees will gain increased understanding of adaptive solutions for optimal comfort and mobility.

Brooke Jerome, MS, OTL, ATP received her MS from Florida International University in 2007. Brooke holds a certification as an Assistive Technology Professional. Brooke has over 16 years of experience in seating and mobility and specializes in the neuro population. Brooke has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, home care, aquatic therapy, hippo therapy and serves as an adaptive sports seating expert across the country. Brooke has worked with veterans, Paralympic Athletes, children, and adults throughout her career and has held the position of Program Specialist for Seating and Mobility at Medstar Health since 2017.
