Objectives

  • Accurately identify common pitfalls when managing critically ill adult and pediatric patients and/or patients requiring procedural intervention presenting to urgent care when placed in a simulated environment.
  • Correctly identify referral guidelines and utilize available resources for critically ill adult and pediatric patients and/or patients requiring procedural intervention presenting to urgent care when placed in a simulated environment.
  • Effectively demonstrate clinical competency and best practice guidelines when evaluating and managing conditions for critically ill adult and pediatric patients and/or patients requiring procedural intervention presenting to urgent care when placed in a simulated environment.
  • Identify the roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team involved in the management of urgent care patients.
