The athletic training staff will be doing our annual in-service to practice emergency sideline skills. We have all the necessary supplies (spineboard, cervical collar, football equipment, cold tub, rectal thermometer, splints). We have an EMS committee of athletic trainers who will lead stations along with our EMS doctors, Kori Hudson and Matt Sedgely, who will be doing some lecture portions. We will practice severe bleeding emergencies and potentially using a mannikin that has the ability for us to practice rectal thermometry.
