About this course: This in-situ simulation will focus on the initial management and resuscitation of a trauma patient who presents to the Emergency Department. Special focus will be on management of the patient with Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) protocols.

- Demonstrate appropriate communication techniques during trauma resuscitation in the Emergency Department.
- Demonstrate practice in caring for patients with an acute trauma following ATLS guidelines when appropriate.
- Identify roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team involved in the collaborative care of a trauma patient presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Integrate a team-based approach in the care of trauma patients.
