Through collaboration between the MGTI Advanced Practice Providers and nursing staff, a transplant education committee was formed in order to help bridge the gap in transplant knowledge expressed by inpatient nursing staff and APPs alike. We partnered together to address gaps in knowledge and through academic conference hours, we will aim to broaden the knowledge behind the care of the solid organ transplant patient.

- Apply the knowledge gained from the discussion of the care of an individual patient to the care of future patients within the framework of best practices and hospital policies.
- Develop a personal habit of continuous lifelong knowledge acquisition with direct applicability to patient care, replacing old methods of care and procedures with new proven approaches that will improve patient outcomes
- Practice of interprofessional mutual education, where each profession educates learners in other disciplines of current practices in his field and scientific rationale for these advances.
- Utilize case presentations, applying adult learning principles, evidence-based literature citations, audience engagement and measured improvement in sequential experiences
