THIS COURSE IS FOR THE ACLS/PALS CURRENT PARTICIPANT ONLY. PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE SCHEDULED TIME FOR YOUR ACLS/PALS COURSE. You will not be able to view this module until 60 days prior to your skills evaluation. You must complete the online module prior to attending Course Description:The BLS Healthcare Course is designed to review & reinforce current basic life support guidelines for a wide variety of healthcare professionals who are currently certified. This Dual Course Option is intended for students who are currently registered for ACLS Provider or ACLS Provider Renewal. Course participants will review how to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR for victims of all ages, use an AED for children and adults, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.The American Heart Association\'s Healthcare Provider Online Course provides Part 1, the online portion of thecourse. The hands-on skills evaluation portion of the course is the second part. Part 1 includes a series of modules that cover all required sequences for an American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Course. Participants also complete the AHA Healthcare Provider exam online. Those who successfully complete Part 1 allows them entrance to a skills validation session with an AHA BLS Instructor. You must complete the online modules prior to your skills evaluation session.The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association. - The student must demonstate proficieny in Adult/Child Single Rescuer CPR, as well as with utilizing the AED in these situations.
- The student must demonstate profiency in Infant 1 & 2 Rescuer CPR.
- The student preforms prompt, high quality CPR utilizing the C-A-B sequence.
- The student understands the difference in Adult/Child/Infant CPR
