About this Course:
This education is part of a series on online education for associates to meet annual stroke education requirements. This module focuses on after a patient has had a stroke and preventing a secondary stroke.

- Describe lifestyle changes related to secondary stroke prevention.
- Discuss medical management and the use of different types of anti-thrombotic agents in secondary stroke prevention.
- Discuss revascularization interventions and management of stroke patients with extra cranial arterial disease.
- Discuss secondary stroke prevention management in ischemic stroke/TIA patients with various vascular risk factors (e.g. Afib, HTN, Dyslipidemia, and Diabetes).
- Discuss Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) related to the risk of stroke after TIA.
