About this Course: Pain is a nearly universal part of the human experience. All health care providers need to know how to assess, treat, and educate patients and their peers in the clinical setting on effective pain management. Each patient case requires a nuanced/tailored approach and use of new techniques, and medications can enhance success of pain treatment. With advancements in knowledge of best practices there is a need for collaborative and ongoing education of clinicians working in the pain management specialty to provide quality and relevant care. This course helps to meet the DC Key Health Priorities: Responsible opioid prescribing and effective pain management. show less
