Patients living at home with wound or ostomy issues require specialized care for wound management and wound healing, ostomy self-care, and ostomy care provided by the family or caregiver. Increased knowledge of these health conditions will allow you to take optimal care of the patient and provide education and training to the patient, family, or caregiver. You will also acquire additional resource materials and links to learn more about wound and ostomy care, resource utilization, and ethical aspects of patient care in the home.
