These online modules were created to address fundamental knowledge gaps related to practitioners performing and interpreting Point of Care Ultrasound. The gap exists due to recent advances in ultrasound technology resulting in portable machines of high quality and lower cost and rapid adoption of ultrasound imaging at the point of care.

- Demonstrate acquisition of normal anatomical views of major organs/structures utilizing ultrasound technology and standardized patients.
- Demonstrate basic principles of ultrasound including machine settings, probes, and image acquisition, quality and interpretation.
- Demonstrate clinical reasoning, interpretation and diagnosis of patient cases utilizing ultrasound technology and ultrasound simulated cases.
- Demonstrate interpretation of major organ/structure pathologies utilizing ultrasound technology and ultrasound simulator.
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team involved in the collaborative care of medical and surgical patients.
- Integrate a team-based approach in the care of medical and surgical patients.
