Medical assistants are an important piece of medical offices staffs and need the training to ensure they meet standards of quality care. This program places learners into realistic patient scenarios and serves to prompt and assess their knowledge at moments where specific tasks are required. Both soft skills and technical skills are employed during any patient encounter, and the knowledge and skills gained during training are reinforced in simulated practice. The modules will include content involved with patient intake, patient vitals, medication administration, clinical lab testing, and emergency management.

- Accurately collect and record patient vitals and recognize results out of normal range.
- Define the rights of medication administration and administer medications accordingly.
- Perform electrocardiogram test
- Perform key infection control actions and recall their importance as a preventative measure.
- Perform patient intake and Intake appropriately and record results.
- Perform strep test, urine dip and visual acuity tests accurately.
- Recognize when tasks are out of the MA scope of practice.
- Respond appropriately to an emergency event.
- Use medical math calculations correctly for dosing and unit conversion.
