This module provides an overview of the equipment required to safely transport bariatric patients ranging from 850-1600lb using a winch system. The video demonstrates how to safely install and secure all necessary equipment components. This training also discusses safety-related considerations for patient securement, loading, and unloading. After completion of this module, MedSTAR Transport clinicians should be more familiar with proper care and management of bariatric patients utilizing the bariatric winch system in MedSTAR Transport trucks 101 and 103.
