Beginning in January 2024, MedStar Washington Hospital Center rolled out a new standard for the first interaction the assigned nurse has with their newly admitted patients and their loved ones. This conversation is supplemented by the Bedside Guide and Patient and Visitor Code of Conduct. In this interaction, the assigned nurse will review frequently asked questions with their patient in order to minimize the gap between our services and our patient’s understanding.
