The MedStar Health POCUS Program was created to address a knowledge gap related to practitioners performing and interpreting point-of-care ultrasound. This gap exists due to recent advances in ultrasound technology resulting in portable machines of high quality and lower cost as well as rapid adoption of ultrasound imaging at the point of care. This module will prepare you to demonstrate the basic principles of ultrasound, including machine settings, probes, and image acquisition, quality and interpretation.
